          “Compassion – reflections of a geriatrician”  
In considering the assisted suicide bills up for action in the New York Legislature and elsewhere, the word “compassion” is frequently used to explain why death is the prescribed solution.  Dr. Heppard will explain how he sees it.

Thursday, November 3  First Annual GNOC(Gerhardt Neighborhood Outreach Center) Fall Banquet  A lovely evening of Jazz by internationally known Jazz Band - Alvin Parris & Band and a full-course dinner at Shadow Lake Country Club from 6:30-8:00pm. Tickets are $40 for single, $70 for a couple, and $260 for an 8 person table.

Saturday, November 12 Creighton Model Introductory Session. The Creighton Model of FertilityCare is a form of Natural Family Planning that couples can use to either achieve or avoid a pregnancy or help determine causes of infertility. Single women are also encouraged to learn the method so they can become an advocate for their own gynecological health.  Monthly introductory sessions will be available Saturday mornings from 10 am to 12 noon.
