Thank you for taking the time to make your life-issues thoughts a part of our page.  We hope that, as people combine their actions with their love for people of all sizes, types, and ages, the barriers to a loving solution to our social problems will fall and we will no longer see abortion, infanticide, and euthanasia proposed as the simple, automatic solutions for distressing personal situations.

Any comments which suggest violence as a solution will be deleted, as will be those which are insulting or degrading to any group or person. Until proven through scientifical facts that life begin at the time of conception, abortions will still be praformed.Society has been believing for quit some time that the begining of a life is just a bunch of cells.True, but why is it that we basiclly turn to dust after the phisical body dies? Its no different than those cells to have something igsisting to keep them from turning to dust.

Hello, I hope you are well. I know that the term "Pro-Life Democrats" may seem self-contradictory, but we are a group who believes that we can create a better world for all living human beings through the Democratic Party platform, except for the so-called "Right to Choose." In the political context, the "right to choose" always means the right to kill an unborn baby. We believe that a human being comes into existence at the instant of conception, and therefore should enjoy all the rights and privileges of any other human being until the moment of natural death. No one should have the power to end a human life. This includes making great efforts to avoid war and capital punishment. Since fertilized human eggs always proceed along certain stages of development, a process we have all undergone biologically; we want to change the party's platform so that there is no need for abortion because we will provide suitable options. Right now the national Democratic Party platform reads that abortions should be "safe, legal, and rare." Well, abortion might be legal, but it is becoming less safe and it is definitely not rare! If I were to come upon a condor nest, or some other endangered bird's nest, and take all the eggs and smash them. Would you accept my reasoning that I wasn't really killing endangered birds, just eggs that MIGHT become endangered birds? If I was starving and ate the eggs, would that change your definition of the eggs? Or would it just provide a reason or excuse for destroying condor eggs? The fact that I prevented a condor from completing gestation and hatching is a fact. If I have a "good reason", it doesn't change the inherent VALUE of egg. The condor eggs don't become chicken eggs just because I am hungry. The fact that condor life was destroyed by my action is undeniable. I can ask for leniency by claiming that I was justified in ending the condor's life to save my own, but I cannot claim that it was not condor life at all just because I was hungry. That would not be accurate. There will be no need to sacrifice human embryos for stem cell research because adult stem cells can do the job just as well without immune resistance. There will be no cloning of human beings, and no capital punishment. But most relevant of all now is the link that is being investigated by medical researchers between abortion and breast cancer. When a woman terminates her pregnancy, her hormones continue in the function for which her body was programmed, the nutrition of a baby. The Internet is proving to be a great instrument of e-democracy. I hope you can join us on the following mailing list: [email protected] . Our web-page is http://www.DemocratsForLIfe.org . Thank you, Louis A. Shapiro, Sec'y, CA Dems-for-Life

I love this web-site. I am only 16 but I want to do something for people in Maryland who want to get rid of their babies. I think it is such a crime. I want to take each little baby and care for them myself. I could make "trash" (so the parent thinks) in to Treasures. I mean each little life is a treasure. I love babies. If there was one thing that I could do when I graduate, it would be to start up my own place where abanonded babies could be placed. If possible, could you e-mail me information on it? I would love to start something like that here in Maryland (Where i live). Thank you for your time and I hope you read this...my e-mail is [email protected]

Sadly New York always has been way too tolerant on the Abortion issue. Currently there is No Parental Consent Law or informed Consent Law. Medicaid funds all Abortions at taxpayers expense. Most New York politicians favor Abortion to a sickening degree. Michael Bloomberg, Eliot Spitzer, George Pataki, Sheldon Silver, Hillary Clinton and Charles Schumer are good examples. Sadly New York had the nation's most Liberal Abortion Law before Roe Vs Wade. In 1967 Abortion became a big issue in the New York Legislature. Abortion Bills were defeated in 1968 and 1969. On April 9, 1970 the Assembly held a vote on Abortion. At the last minute an Assemblyman from Auburn named George Michaels changed his vote from no to yes. Because of his vote the New York Legislature passed the nation's most Liberal Abortion Law by 1 vote. This Bill allowed Abortions for any reason up to 24 weeks and allowed them to be performed anywhere, a truly radical bill. On April 11, 1970 Governor Nelson Rockefeller signed the Bill into law and the Law went into affect on July 1, 1970, overturning an 1829 Law against Abortion. New York immidately became the Abortion Capitol of America. Illegal Abortionists from other States would go to New York and Abortion clinics sprouted all over the place. In 1971 there was an estimated 262,890 Abortions and a number of maternal deaths related to "safe" and legal Abortion. On May 13, 1972 Governor Rockefeller Vetoed A "Repealer" which would have made Abortion illegal again in New York. On November 7, 1972 so many Pro-Abortion Assemblymen were defeated that the General Assembly had enough votes to override the Veto but on January 22, 1973 the dastardly decision known as Roe Vs Wade Doe Vs Balton was decided and all 50 States had to adopt a radical Abortion agenda with no regulations. In 1978 in a stupid move New York Governor Hugh Carey Vetoed A Parental Consent Law for Abortion. He later called that Veto his biggest regret. In February, 1985 a 13 year old girl named Dawn Ravenell died a few weeks after a Legal Abortion. Her parents had no idea she was pregnant. Too bad her parents couldn't save her. Most other surgical procedures require Parental Consent but not Abortion. Giving a kid aspirin in school requires some kind of Parental notification but 13 year old girls can get Abortions with no Parental knowledge at all. That is plain wrong and dangerous. The Abortion advocates turn a blind eye to this. There has been more Abortion related deaths in New York in recent years. Abortion Clinics tend to be filthy and unregulated. Not much better than "Back Alley" conditions. Safe Abortion is a misnomer. Perforation of the uterus, excessive blood loss and cervical lacerations are common Abortion complications. I'm not even a Doctor and I know this. I'm just a 17 year old student. Abortion advocates don't give a damn about women or women's rights. Abortion advocates only care about their political agenda and making money for the Abortionist scumbags. Forty Three Million babies killed by Roe Vs Wade is an abonimation and embarrasment to America. I hope one day Abortion comes to an end.

Lovve your website. By the way, I have some 'food' for thought here. Someone once said it was hypocritical to allow abortion to save the life of the mother, but forbid it for other cases. But ever see that movie Alive? The survivors of the plane crash in the Andes had to eat the bodies of dead passengers to keep from starving, but no one would say that justifies cannibalism for other cases. A supporter from Ohio.

To Theresa M. Policastro

You know how that amioistasis test is used to determine the sex of a child early into pregnancy? And in abortions done after such tests, the overwhelming majority aborted are girls, because the parents, or at least the fathers, want sons? Are you in favor of that kind of choice? Why do you people insist upon perpetuating the lie about Anne Speckhard's study at the Univ. of Minnesota? Speckhard did not hold the title of doctor when she did her study, nor is she a medical doctor, as many anti-choice websites try to claim. The study you people are so fond of quoting was her 1985 dissertation for her Ph.D. in psychology. Speckhard's study consisted of 45 to 90 minute interviews with 32 women who reported having stressful abortions. Women who didn't have stressful abortions weren't interviewed. This small group included women who had had illegal abortions. Why don't any of you people want to admit the truth??? People who want to learn the truth can order a copy of Speckhard's dissertation from the U. of Minn. and read it for themselves. The abstract can be found in most college and university libraries.

I just wanted to make a comment about the rude protestors that are outside of Dr Wartmans office. I agree in free speech, but not to harrass the patients of his that are not there for abortions. My wife had an emergency visit with the doctor and we were yelled at by your protestors outside. Next time I will not be so nice and have to say something back.

Would you please e-mail me a Muslim prayer I could read at our Interfaith Service for Life, which will be held in Hyde Park in Chicago at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church (in the chapel at 5472 South KimbarK Ave), Tuesday evening, January 20, 7:30-8:30. We will have readings and reflections on Scripture from a Pentecostal minister (True Zion Spiritual Church) and a young Eastern Orthodox Priest (on what early church fathers said). We hope to have Muslims from the community at the service, but I have not found one ahead of time. If you could send the prayer or reflection in both English and Arabic, I could have my husband "translate"--i.e., transliterate it so I could read it out in Arabic (which I speak a little, as spoken in Tusnisia. We would like to put a brief prayer or comment in our written program to make people aware of the distinctly Muslim roots for protection of human life (as well as common ground with all the other Abrahamaic traditions). The Life Service is held near the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion on demand. National Sanctity of Human Life Sunday (today) and week is marked by activities of many religious groups in memory of that decision and its consequences (Jan 22, 1973). If you could send an area member or friend of your Muslim group to that service, that would be wonderful! I appreciate your efforts, but I would prefer not to pay for raising the next generation of welfare Children. If the child is not wanted, the choice of abortion should not be taken away, but the choice of adoption should be advertised heavily! Choice is my opinion, but I would prefer that the women that don't want there children choose to give it to a couple that will love him or her. Instead of telling people in a "free" country what they should or should not do, maybe you should give choices with a slant towards you opinion. That's what defines a free country. This country was founded on free thought and free religion. Dont take away the choice because it's easier than fighting for what's right.

I feel very strongly about pro-life issues. There are a few cases that weigh heavily on my mind and make it difficult to decide which include rape victims who become pregnant. A life is concieved in my opinion at the moment an egg meets sperm. Whether the child is inside the womb or not, it is a living being.Thankyou...Someone who cares in Central New York..

I would like to know if there are any pro-life candidates running in the 2004 election who are pro-life across the board: against abortion, against the death penalty, against the war in Iraq, for gun control, against euthanasia, against stem-cell research.

You are my spirit, you are my being, you are mi unity. All of thy body, thy soul and thy spirit are filled with my creation, because thou art the great work of art from my hands. Join then thy hands with mine and in a prayer of silence and you will feel the presence of thy father in the love with Beni Elohim (children of God). You will lnow that there is only one creator, that is both father and mother because he has engendered and conceived you. Without me there is no life, without me there is no way, without me, there is no truth, because I am the life, I am the way and the truth, because the Beni Elohim carry my signs in all his body, soul and spirit, and as the universe, thou are full of my signs, so I say unto you, I am the great sign. I have come so that this time thy eyes not only see the flesh but the flesh that is light and to insure that Elohim has the word of God and that he fulfils it. It was said unto you that in the last times thy eyes would see signs, others would sound those signs, while others would hear these signs. So it is and shall be, that the return of Elohim, thou will feel in thy hearts without fear because thou will have recognized the presence of thy father, thy spirit in one joy and happiness and will shout, God the Father, God the Son on earth, because we are one and so it is written. Thou art the door of the world. I say to you that I am the door to the heavens and I will open it to my children because we are one and you will come unto me. Because I have come to sing a new song, my voice with thy voices and in spite of what thou are passing in these days of tribulation; in the new order which are the same new heavens, will be seen by thy eyes of light, because so I have promised you and Elohim fulfils his promises. I was the first and I will be with the last, I will heal thy wounds and I will dry thy tears because thou art my children. I have come to break the prisons of the soul and of the spirit because I am the freedom of my children, I have come to open thy blind eyes to my light so that you can see and feel that it is the only true light and will rejoice in seeing it. I have come to make you walk because thy feet have been walking erroneously in a way that is not mine and I will teach you and you will walk it together with me. I have come so that my holy blood be thy sacred grail, in thy bodies, so that the mysteries on earth that are not mysteries in the heavens be revealed to thy eyes and understanding. Because thou have strong fingers and powerful steady hands, thou are the muscles and tendons of my powerful arm, because thou are the retina of my eyes, when they look for you full of love, justice and mercy. Because I am the only one that can transform thy heart of flesh to heart of light, these are the good news I bring you. I am the new love, the new justice, the new mercy, all will come to me because so it is written even before this generation was born, the son looks for his father. Thou are the messiah in thy lives because thou art my chosen ones and I give thee the blessing of my Holy Spirit. I am the great silence and thou art the silence. The day has come when the heavens have joined with the earth because I am here among you, because it is no longer time to preach, as it was done for two thousand times, no, now is the time to reap what is ripe and I have come to reap together with those called angels which are also thy brothers and Beni Elohim. I am the father of the sons and the son among the sons. I am the all powerful Elohim who comes to plant new seeds of light. Thou art the sons of my love and justice, of my mercy and my truth and I have come to look for you to give you the eternal peace and harmony you so much desire. The good news are that I am with you, the great face of all faces. I give thee my blessing saying to thee and I have covered long and short roads to come to see you, although I have always been with you, but now that I am among you, my heart beats in unison with thine and when you read these good news, thy heart will feel that it has born again. So I have written and this is my saying. Love to the Beni Elohim. Elohim Hadonai Gebor Yeshua el Gebor

I personally do not believe in abortion, even though I am now unexpectedly pregnant with my 3d child and hardly coping financially. I do believe white ladies need to be made aware of the option of adoption - I would also go that route, but like many others believe I would not be able to give up my child after carrying it for 9 months - regardless

Shut down your website you simple-minded jesus freaks.

---

Webmaster note: This website talks about abortion and its bad effect on women, and you're talking about Jesus. What a switch! Only some of the readers believe in Jesus, but there's a growing body of information that says abortion is really not physically or emotionally healthy for women.  If you think the scientific evidence is not true, then please tell us in what way it's not true, rather than simply voicing your own religious bias.

I made my girlfriend get an abortion, because I didn't want to deal with having some screaming crying kid around. I think it should be up to the parents to decide whether or not they should have a child. I'll debate any of you on the subject, just to show how ignorant you all are! Feel free to write to me! [email protected]

Date: 3/22/2005 Time: 9:56:45 PM

Sounds like your girlfriend wasn't part of the decision, since you "made her get an abortion." So you're not really in favor of "the parents" deciding, just one parent - you.
